□  3 Day Sacrifice “What can you give up?”
Sacrifice was a big part of the pioneers’ lives. They left everything behind to follow the Prophet and move west. They left their families, friends, and homes to do what the Lord would have them do. As a requirement for this award, and to attempt to understand what the pioneers experienced, we’d like you to give up something that is important to you. Whether it is watching television, talking on your cell phone, playing video games, or drinking soda pop, give it up for 3 consecutive days. This will help you spiritually prepare for the Trek. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!
Examples Include: Give up Texting, Ipod/MP3 Player, TV, Radio, Video Games, Facebook or your Cell Phone. Chips, Soda Pop, Cookies, Ice Cream, Fast Food, Candy, or Sugar.
