Goals and Objectives of Our Pioneer Trek

Trek Goals:
The Trek should assist all to experience and appreciate some of the hardships of the early church pioneers; to learn of their suffering and sacrifice, and feel of their testimonies and their continued love for and faith in their Savior, Jesus Christ. This experience should stir within the youth the workings of the spirit and how they can learn and apply the lessons from the lives of these pioneers into their own situations and life experiences. This experience can leave a lasting legacy for the future.

Trek Objectives: 
 - Gain a stronger testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ and the Restored Gospel
 - Increase their faith and testimony
 - Gain a deeper appreciation for one’s ancestors and the pioneers
 - Gain deeper feelings of love for the family at home and gratitude for our blessings
 - Increase individual self-worth
 - Gain a deeper understanding of charity and sacrifice
 - Gain new friends and have fun

Introducing Pioneer Trek 2012 to the Ward

Oct 30, 2011 - Yea ....Trek is officially here. We spent some time during the 5th Sunday combined to introduce Trek to the ward. We are very excited and know this will be a great activity for the youth and the adults involved in helping.
